Triple Exponential MA

Triple Exponential Moving Average Technical Indicator (TEMA)

Section titled “Triple Exponential Moving Average Technical Indicator (TEMA)”

The Triple Exponential Moving Average (TEMA) is a technical indicator developed by Patrick Mulloy and published in the Technical Analysis of Stocks & Commodities magazine. It is similar to the Double Exponential Moving Average (DEMA) in terms of calculation. However, TEMA is a unique combination of single, double, and triple exponential moving averages, resulting in a smaller lag compared to each of them individually.

TEMA can be used as an alternative to traditional moving averages. It is effective in smoothing price data and other indicators, offering improved accuracy and responsiveness.
