Awesome Oscillator Technical Indicator (AO)

Section titled “Awesome Oscillator Technical Indicator (AO)”

The Awesome Oscillator Technical Indicator (AO) is a tool used in technical analysis to analyze market driving force. It consists of a 34-period simple moving average, plotted through the middle points of the bars (H+L)/2, which is then subtracted from a 5-period simple moving average, built across the central points of the bars (H+L)/2.

The only signal to buy occurs when the bar chart is higher than the nought line. However, it is important to note that all Awesome Oscillator columns should be over the nought line for the saucer signal to be considered.

The signals to sell with the Awesome Oscillator are identical to the signals to buy, but in reverse. The saucer signal is below zero and the nought line crossing is on the decrease, with the first column over the nought and the second column under it. Additionally, the two pikes signal is higher than the nought line and is also reversed.

The Awesome Oscillator Technical Indicator provides insights into the market driving force at the present moment. It can be used to identify potential buying or selling opportunities based on the position of the bar chart relative to the nought line. By understanding these signals, traders can make informed decisions in their trading strategies.
